On a trip up to Algonquin Provincial Park, I took a series of photos of my girlfriend walking around in a lake off the side of the road. I submitted it to a calendar competition being held by the University of London International Programme during my philosophy studies, which asked participants to submit something evocative of their home country. The judges gave it a spot in the calendar.
